This document is updated and revised regularly.





1. Preparation





We have some primary requirements that you need to meet before officially starting work,



a. Conduct Free demo/ trial classes as set by management.

b. Full understanding of the terms and conditions.

c. Myeworld Skype account, which will be provided by us.

d. Credentials: Pictures, resume and voice file Voice files can be recorded easily at (http://www.vocaroo.com).

e. If you're with MyEworld, there are few things you'll find yourself running into and probably wondering about; We always use 'kt', which means 'Korean time'. No matter where you are, you need to get used to 'kt'. We'll always be talking in 'kt'. Example: 9amkt,10amkt, 9pmkt, 10pmkt, 12pmkt.

f. We always use 'cutoff' to talk about the entire 20 hours session which generally takes around 1 month to complete. Example: New cutoff, Ending date of cutoff, no more cutoff. If you don't get used to it, you'll probably confuse us and find yourself in a bigger confusion.






2. Stability





Stability is all about making yourself predictable. Getting a new student means you re promising three stable cutoffs to the student and if you can’t, please do not accept the working hour. You must keep us informed about every personal event that can affect the stability of the classes. Resignation or Thoughts of quitting should be informed at least one cutoff earlier.



First classes are very important. Neither be late nor absent for the first class. Failure to meet these requirements will incur a penalty of 50% of your class fee for one week.







3. Punctuality





Classes in Myeworld are usually 55 to 60 minutes long and class ending should be mentioned at least after 55 minutes into the class time. Students should show up within 10mins. If not, management should be informed immediately. We must be priorly informed about any possible lateness. Emergency is an exception.







4. Class conduct





Currently teachers are entirely in charge of making lesson plans for their individual students. Teachers are entirely in charge of their own students’ improvement.



a. Teachers should get online at least 15minutes earlier than the first class to check their devices and Internet and fix any technical problems.

b. Teachers must be in class and call the student on time.

c. Teachers must never leave in middle of the class. If there is an emergency, management should be informed immediately.

d. Teachers must not be distracted in middle of the class. Texting, talking on phone, typing must not happen. Please simply type ‘in class’ if you are distracted by any message from management.

e. Classes should not be forced upon technical difficulties. Make up class should be given to make up for the missed minutes due to technical interruptions. Having class with choppy, unclear sound should not be considered a proper class.

g. Teachers must be prepared for the classes with a firm plan in mind.



While visually exposed to the student on webcam, you must be clean and presentable with well lit conditions. Teachers must not make any gestures or take any posture which could be interpreted as offensive, vulgar or sexual in nature.







5. Rescheduling





Rescheduling from the teacher’s or student’s side requires confirmation from the management and must not discussed between themselves. Teachers are not allowed to inform or ask the student directly about rescheduling. Teachers are not allowed accept any rescheduling request from the student and not allowed to talk about it and should inform the student to talk to management and should inform the management of it immediately by typing even while you are in class with the student.







6. Absence





Teachers are allowed 3 times in a cutoff with prior notice. For cancellations within the first two weeks of teaching a new student or consecutive days of absence, substitute classes will be provided and the payment will be deducted from the teacher’s tuition. Students are allowed to have 3 cancellations with prior notice (before the class starting time) in a cutoff with exception of specially requested breaks.





a. Student’s absence without prior notice will be considered as a completed class.

b. A gift class along with a makeup class should be provided on teacher’s absence without prior notice.

c. Management should be informed immediately if the student doesn’t show up within 10minutes. (It allows the management try to contact the student to check the reason). If the student does not show up for 20minutes, the class should be counted as “student’s absence without notice”.

e. If A class gets dropped in middle of the cutoff due to instability from the teacher’s side, no payment will be made and the tuition will be refunded.

f. Extended absence for vacation can be agreed upon if it is requested before the cutoff.. This applies for both the teacher and the student. Vacations require agreement and proper arrangements.

g. Special holidays during summer vacation or examination terms or school camps will be allowed for students.







7. Substitute class





A free substitute class will be provided to students upon two or more consecutive or close cancellations by the teacher. Although, it'll be written down in the report however it won't be counted in the original number of class given by the teacher, the payment for the substitute teacher will be deducted from the original teacher's payment and the student will be free to go back to the former teacher or stay with the new one.







8. Reports





Teachers are entirely in-charge of keeping track of their students' attendances. Attendance reports must be checked everyday and can be asked for at any time. Information in attendance reports should be based on:-



a. Attended and the number of the class (e.g.: 1st attended, 2nd attended, 3rd attended)

b. Absent -Teacher’s or the student’s and with or without notice (e.g.: Student's absent without notice, Teacher's absent with notice)

c. Miscellaneous – Exam break, holiday, camp break should be noted down accurately.



Assessment Reports must be written down objectively and in details. It should focus on the following points:-



a. What has the student been taught

b. What are the student’s problems

c. What is the plan for the next cutoff







9. Payment





Teachers must notify the management a day before the last class about the ending date of a cutoff. The message should be sent through Skype and it should be delivered. Unless there is a confirmation, teachers should not take it for granted that the message has been delivered. Attendance and assessment reports along with the notification are to be submitted a day before the last class or before the last class starts at the latest.

Teachers must know and remember that payment information should be given every time a payment is to be made. Payment information must be typed twice. We will not take responsibility for mistakes in information from teacher’s side







10. Restriction overview





Breaking any of these terms may lead to any penalty suitable or a complete termination of relationship between the company and the teacher.



a. Mentioning payments or related topics to the student is not allowed. If the query is from student's side, they must not be replied to and be told of the rule immediately.

b. Discussing internal information (e.g.: rates, discussions between the management and the teachers) is not allowed. If the query is from student's side, they must not be replied to and be told of the rule immediately.

c. Sharing personal contact information with the student is not allowed. This includes Phone, Email, Residential addresses. Special rule can be discussed with the management.

d. Teachers must not advertise their personal service or any other service. If the query is from student's side, they must not be replied to and told of the rule immediately.

e. Reschedules, cancellations, holidays must be discussed with the management and agreed upon before mentioning to the students.

f. Attendance and assessment reports along with the notification are to be submitted a day before the last class.







11. Miscellaneous



a. Audio and video quality must be top notch in class. There should be no choppy sound or background noise on teacher's end. Students and teachers should be able to hear each other perfectly. Unclear sound should be immediately informed to the management.

b. Technical issues that can affect classes should be informed to the management instantly.

c. Skype isn't always reliable for messages hence, Do not take it for granted that your message has been delivered unless you receive a confirmation.

d. Urgent or important messages that need to be delivered to the student should delivered to the management first.

e. Whether or not the student is online, leave message and call the student exactly on time. The Skype chat history can be asked for at anytime.

f. Management should be informed immediately if the student does not show up within 10minutes into the class time. If the student does not show up for 20minutes and the management failed to contact the student, the class should be counted as "student’s absence without notice".

g. Incomplete or missed minutes due to any issue should be made up for accurately and generously.
